But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed (James 1:25). The Word of God is the mirror of God. The Bible says anyone who hears the Word and doesn�t act on it is like a man who sees himself in a mirror, turns around, and forgets what he looks like (James 1:23-24);
meaning that God expects you to hear His Word and act on it. See yourself as what God says you are in His Word, and act accordingly. Until you see yourself in the Word, you may never experience its reality in your life. Until Abraham saw himself as the father of many and acted accordingly, he didn�t inherit the promise. The Bible says, �So then they which be of faith are blessed with faithful Abraham� (Galatians 3:9). Today, you�re as much the heir of the world as Abraham because the Bible says �And if ye be Christ�s, then are ye Abraham�s seed, and heirs according to the promise� (Galatians 3:29). Nevertheless, until you see yourself as the heir of all things and endorse that picture, your inheritance will elude you. God has given you everything you need for life and godliness (2 Peter 1:3). Righteousness, peace, divine health, prosperity, and success are yours in Christ. See that image and endorse it. That�s how to enjoy all that God has made available to you in Christ Jesus. There�s a transforming power in the Word of God. Keep your heart on the Word and not on the circumstances around you. As you keep looking into the mirror of God, meditating on the Word, you�ll be metamorphosed; and your life will become more and more the glory you see in the Word.
