Declare
Your Victory
But we all, with open face beholding as in a
glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into
the same image from glory to glory, even as
by the Spirit of the Lord (2 Corinthians 3:18).
When all hope seems lost and it appears the
walls are closing in on you, don't despair;
look to the Word.
Looking to the Word doesn't mean
staring at the pages of your Bible; it means to study,
meditate, act and depend on its message to you.
Through meditation, you give opportunity for the Word
to permeate your spirit, soul and body.
When you face challenges, boldly declare your
victory over the situation. God's Word spoken forth
in faith will always prevail. So voice your faith and
declare your victory in the face of adversity. This was
what David did when he confronted Goliath. He made
bold declarations of his victory over the giant, before
he went against him: "This day will the Lord deliver
thee into mine hand; and I will smite thee, and take
thine head from thee; and I will give the carcasses
of the host of the Philistines this day unto the fowls
of the air, and to the wild beasts of the earth; that all
the earth may know that there is a God in Israel" (1
Samuel 17:46). How inspiring!
David's confidence wasn't in his physical skill,
agility or strength, but in "...the Name of the LORD
of host" (1 Samuel 17:45). Make your boast in the
Lord by declaring your victory ahead of the battle.
Remember, you're more than a conqueror. Greater
is He that is in you, than he that is in the world. You
can do all things through Christ, which strengthens you
and causes you to always triumph gloriously.
You're a victor in Christ Jesus. You can't be
defeated. No wonder the Apostle Paul said in Romans
8:35-37, "Who shall separate us from the love of
Christ?shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution,
or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?....Nay, in
all these things we are more than conquerors through
him that loved us."
