A WORD FOR YOUR DAY [PASTOR CHRIS]

But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble (James 4:6). If youve been operating at a certain level, doing everything you know how to do, but havent advanced or made significant progress, what you need is more grace.
For example, in ministry, theres the grace for pastoring. Theres a grace to pastor two hundred people, and theres a grace to pastor five hundred people. If youre given the grace to pastor five hundred people, it doesnt matter what you do, thats the area youd function in since thats what you have grace for. Even if ten thousand people came into the church, because the grace given to you is for five hundred, the additional nine thousand five hundred will not be retained. Only five hundred will remain, because the grace given to you is for that much. This works the same way in finances. Therere people wholl never have more than a certain amount of money at any given time, because thats just how far they can reach. If you gave them more money, it would fizzle away somehow, and theyd get back to that maximum balance theyre graced to handle. However, more grace will make a difference. Hebrews 4:16 says, Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need (Hebrews 4:16). At no extra effort on your part, you can achieve much more results by taking advantage of the grace thats in Christ Jesus. Therere different graces for different endeavours. Do you know which grace you need? Is it the grace for healing, for multiplication, for winning souls, for business expansion or for your finances? Just go to the shelf and find the grace you want! Notice it says that we may find grace to help in time of need, meaning the reason we find such grace is because we want to help other people; we want to change lives. Take advantage of the grace thats in Christ Jesus. You can take advantage of that grace right now and begin helping other people who are in need. Remember, the Word declares: but he giveth more grace (James 4:6).
