But Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven (Matthew 19:14). As an adult, you have a responsibility to every child; every child is your child. This must become your personal philosophy. Take care of children wherever you are. For instance, if a child or a group of children without an adult is trying to cross the road, help them do so. Don't let them run through and get knocked down by a charging vehicle with some drunk driver. Children are the future of any society. Therefore, protect every child. Every stray child should become your responsibility. Every hungry child should become your responsibility. When you understand life this way, God will send angels to bless you with the good things of life and you'll never lack. He'll provide for you so you can care for the needy children around you. But if you're selfish and only care about yourself and your biological family then God can't do much with your life. Our opening scripture highlights the Lord's attitude towards children; they're so important to Him and He's unwilling to overlook them. As a child of God, this ought to be your attitude; give attention to children and ensure they're protected and well taken care of. As you do this, you'd be contributing to a better and greater future for your nation.
